İş Arama Sürecinin Karmaşıklığı

Abstract

İş arama sürecine dair araştırmaların çoğunda, iş arama süreci, birbirini takip eden belli aşamalardan oluşan, basit doğrusal bir süreç olarak nitelendirilmiştir (Van Hooft, Wanberg & Van Hoye, 2013, Blau, 1994; Soelberg, 1967). Genel eğilimlere karşılık olarak bu çalışma, iş arama sürecinin, karmaşık bir süreç olduğunu ileri sürüyor. Bunun için önce, karmaşıklık teorisinden söz ediliyor. “Karmaşık” kavramı “basit” kavramıyla karşılaştırılarak açıklanıyor. İş arama sürecinin karmaşıklığını açıklarken bu kavramlardan yararlanılıyor. İş arama sürecini indirgemeci bir yaklaşım basit bir sürece indirgemek, iş arayan ve iş değiştirmek isteyenler açısından yanılgıya ve hayal kırıklığına yol açar. İş arama, sanayi devrimiyle birlikte ortaya çıkmış, o yıllarda daha basit bir süreç olduğunu, bugün ise, bu süreci basit olarak nitelendirme olanağının kalmadığını söylemek mümkündür. Fizikte ortaya çıkan bir bilim dalı olarak karmaşıklık, bugün birçok bilimsel disiplinin ortasında yer almaktadır. İş arama sürecinin rastlantısal, sürprize açık olması, süreci etkileyen faktörlerin çokluğu ve amaca ulaşmanın birçok değişik faktöre bağlı olduğu sürecin karmaşıklığını ortaya koyan hususlardır. Çalışmada bu hususlara da yer verilecektir.
