Üretim Ve Enerji Arasındaki İlişkinin İncelenmesi: Türkiye İçin Ampirik Kanıtlar

Abstract

Bu araştırmanın amacı, 1990-2015 zaman aralığı içerisinde Türkiye’deki ekonomik büyüme ve enerji arasındaki ilişkiyi Cobb-Douglas üretim fonksiyonu varsayımı altında incelemektir. Amaç doğrultusunda GSYH, sermaye, işgücü ve enerji arasındaki olası karşılıklı ilişkileri belirleyebilmek amacıyla; değişkenlerin uzun dönemli dinamikleri için Johansen eşbütünleşme, kısa dönemli dinamikleri için Vektör Hata Düzeltme Modeli, nedensellik ilişkileri için ise Granger nedensellik analizleri yapılmıştır. Araştırma sonuçlarından elde edilen ampirik kanıtlar, uzun süreli dinamikler için sermaye ve işgücünde meydana gelen 1 birimlik bir artışın, sırasıyla, geliri 0.36 ve 0.93 birim azalttığının; enerji kullanımındaki 1 birimlik artışın ise, geliri 0.12 birim artırdığının bilgisini vermiştir. Kısa süreli dinamiklere ait sonuçlara göre, gelir ile açıklayıcı değişkenler arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bulunan tek değişkenin sermaye olduğu görülmüştür. Nedensellik sonuçlarına göre ise; sermayenin, işgücünün ve enerjinin ekonomik büyümeye neden olduğu hipotezi kabul edilmiştir. Araştırmamızın temel politika önerisi, toplam enerji tüketimi içerisinde yenilenebilir enerji kaynaklarından daha fazla yararlanmaya çalışmak şeklinde belirtilmektedir. Ayrıca karar vericilerin, enerji politikalarının belirlenmesi ve uygulanması aşamasında özellikle temiz enerji reformlarına yönelmesi gerekmektedir.
