Bilişim Sektöründe Entelektüel Sermaye İle Finansal Performans İlişkisinin Belirlenmesine Yönelik Bir Araştırma

Abstract

Son yıllarda yapılan çalışmalarda, firmaların defter değeri ile piyasa değeri arasındaki büyük farklılığın firmaların sahip oldukları maddi olmayan varlıklarından kaynaklandığı yönünde hâkim bir görüş söz konusudur. Gerek ölçülmesinde, gerek muhasebeleştirilmesindeki zorluklar nedeniyle henüz firmaların finansal tablolarında tam anlamıyla aktifleştirilemeyen bu varlıkların firmaların değerine, finansal performansına etkisini tespit etmeye yönelik çok sayıda çalışma yapılmıştır. Bu çalışma ise maddi olmayan varlıklar kapsamında değerlendirilen entelektüel sermayenin özellikle finansal tablolarında sabit sermaye yatırımı görece az olan bilişim sektörü firmalarının finansal performansları üzerindeki etkisini araştırmak üzere ele alınmıştır. Entelektüel sermayenin tespit edilmesi amacıyla Entelektüel Sermaye Katma Değer Katsayısı Yöntemi (VAICTM) uygulanmıştır. Firmaların finansal performans ölçütü olarak aktif karlılığı (ROA) ve özsermaye karlılığı (ROE) rasyoları kullanılmıştır.
