Yaşam Doyumu Ve Performans İlişkisi: Adıyaman Üniversitesi Akademik Personeli Uygulaması

Abstract

Örgütlerin varlığını devam ettirebilmesi, verimliliğini ve etkinliğini arttırabilmesi için tüm kaynaklarından maksimum düzeyde yararlanabilmesi gerekmektedir. Bu kaynaklar içerisinde önemli yeri olan insan kaynaklarını örgüt içindeki diğer kaynaklardan ayıran çok büyük özellikleri vardır; çünkü insan kaynağı örgütlere sürdürülebilir rekabet üstünlüğü sağlayarak varlıklarını idame etmelerinde inovasyon ve yenilik gibi alanlarda başat bir rol oynamaktadır. Örgütlerdeki başarının baş faktörlerinden biri olan insan kaynağının, yaşam doyum düzeyinin belirlenmesi ve arttırılma çabaları bu sebeple çok önemlidir. Bu bağlamdan yola çıkan mevcut çalışmanın amacı örgütlerde çalışanların yaşam doyumu ve iş performansı ilişkisini incelemektir. Çalışmada öncelikle yaşam doyumu ve performans kavramları üzerinde durularak, kuramsal bir çerçeve oluşturulmuştur. Daha sonra her iki değişkenin demografik bileşenlerle ilişkisi incelenmiştir. Son olarak da yaşam doyumu ve iş performansı ilişkisi ele alınmıştır. Araştırma Adıyaman Üniversitesi’nde görev yapmakta olan 104 akademisyenin katılımıyla gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre demografik değişkenler ile yaşam doyumu arasında herhangi bir istatistiksel ilişkiye rastlanamamıştır. Ancak yaşam doyumu ve performans arasında anlamlı pozitif bir ilişki gözlenmiştir.
