Refah Devletinde Gençliğin Değer Dönüşümü: Inglehart Söylemi

Abstract

Dünya ekonomisi, günümüzde yeni ekonomi olarak adlandırılan ekonomik faaliyetlerin itici rol oynadığı farklı bir aşamanın içerisindedir. İnternet temelli bu yeni ekonomi olgusu, toplumsal yaşamdan, iş yapma biçimlerine dek pek çok yapıda köklü değişimler ortaya çıkarmaktadır. Bu dönemde ortaya çıkan yeni toplumsal hareketler, ideoloji ve amaçlar açısından ekonomik yeniden dağıtım sorunlarına odaklanmaktan çok, yaşam kalitesi ve yaşam biçimlerine odaklanmakta, lidersiz ya da dönüşümlü bir liderlik anlayış yapısını benimseyen, orta sınıf bireyleri, gençleri ve yüksek eğitim almış katılımcı bireyleri kapsayan hareketler olarak değerlendirilir. Inglehart’ın geliştirdiği değerler modeli, gençlerin, yükselen eğitim düzeyi ile bağlantılı olarak, ailelerinin değer tanımlamalarından farklılık gösterdiğini, materyalist değerlerden postmateryalist değerlere yöneldiklerini savunmaktadır.
