Bolivarizm: Chavez’in 21.Yüzyıl Sosyalizmi

Abstract

Latin Amerika halklarının tarihi sömürgeciliğe, emperyalizme ve onların yerel destekçileri “işbirlikçilere” karşı mücadele tarihidir. Aristokrat bir ailenin çocuğu olarak 1783’te doğan 'El Libertador' (Kurtarıcı) lakaplı Simon Bolivar sömürgeci güçleri perişan ederek Venezuela’nın bağımsızlığını ilan etmesinin ardından sırasıyla tekrar Kolombiya,Ekvador,Panama, ve Peru’yu sömürgecilikten kurtarmış ve 1821’de bu ülkeleri Büyük Kolombiya adı altında birleştirmiştir. Bolivar, Latin Amerika ülkelerini bir araya getirecek ortak bir askeri güç ve birlik kurmak istemiştir. Bu makale, Venezuela’da 1998 yılında iktidara gelen Hugo Chavez’in Simon Bolivar’ın açtığı ulusal devrimci geleneği devam ettiren bir anlayışla, Bolivar’ın hayali olan, ama gerçekleşemeyen federasyon düşüncesinin çok daha ilerisini, kendine yapılan karşı devrim darbesini de atlatarak, kendi tarifiyle “21.yy sosyalizm”ini gerçekleştirmeye çalışmasını ele almaktadır.
