İşe Alım Öncesi Testleri ve Firma Performansı

Abstract

Günümüzdeki hızla değişen şartlara ayak uydurmaya çalışan firmalar insan kaynağının önemini daha iyi anlamaya başlamışlardır. Genel kabule göre doğru işin doğru kişi ile eşleştirilmesi, firmanın performansını olumlu yönde etkilemektedir. Doğru eşleşmenin yapılmasında ve büyük aday havuzlarının filtrelenmesinde firmalar gittikçe popülerleşen İşe Alım Öncesi Testleri’ni uygulamaktadırlar. Bu testlerden en yaygın kullanılanları Kişilik ve Yetenek Testleri’dir. Bu çalışma Türkiye’de faaliyet gösteren ve halka açık firmaların finansal ve istihdam performansını 2012-2016 yıllarını kapsayan 5 yıllık dönemdeki verilerini inceleyerek, bu testlerin firmaların performansını nasıl etkilediğini tespit etmeye çalışmıştır. Testlerin her ikisini birlikte uygulayan veya sadece birini uygulayan firmalar ile hiç test uygulamayan firmalar önce istatistiksel olarak sonra 5 yıllık ortalama değerleri üzerinden ve son olarak da yine verilerin ortalamalarının Min-Max yöntemi ile standardize edilmesi yolu ile analize tabi tutulmuşlardır. Üç analiz yönteminden elde edilen sonuçlara göre bu testlerin her ikisini birlikte uygulayan veya sadece birini uygulayan firmaların hiç test uygulamayan firmalara göre daha yüksek performans gösterdikleri tespit edilmiştir. Sonuç olarak Kişilik ve Yetenek Testleri’nin, firmaların performansını pozitif şekilde etkilediği görülmektedir.
