Demokrasi Kültürüne Etkisi Bağlamında Siyasal Katılım ve Teorik Açılımlar

Abstract

Bu çalışmada siyasal katılıma ilişkin erken dönem ve güncel araştırmalar, alternatif yaklaşımların belirlenebilmesi amacıyla birer inceleme nesnesi olarak ele alınmaktadır. Erken dönem araştırmaları içeren çalışmalar, siyasal katılımı liberal ve katılımcı demokrasi bağlamında, meşruiyetin ve demokratik siyasal sistemin temeli olarak konumlandırırken; modern yaklaşımlar, bireylerin eylemleri ve kolektif etkileşimler yoluyla katılımın kapsamını genişletmiştir. Bilgi dolaşımının hızlanması ve dijitalleşmenin etkisiyle siyasal katılım, bireysel tercihlerden ziyade toplumsal ve küresel bağlamlarda işleyen bir yapı haline gelmiştir. Ancak, eşit katılımın sağlanamaması ve sosyal eşitsizliklerin derinleşmesi, katılım mekanizmalarının eleştirel bir gözle yeniden değerlendirilmesi gerektiğini ortaya koymaktadır. Bu bakımdan araştırmada literatüre dayalı karşılaştırmalı bir nitel yöntem ile alternatif yaklaşımların esnek çerçevesinin belirginleştirilmesi amaçlanmaktadır.
