Nükleer Silah Başlık Sayıları ile Ekonomik Değişkenler Arasındaki İlişki: 2009-2022 Dönemi Nedensellik ve Eşbütünleşme Analizi

Abstract

Nükleer silahlara sahip ülkelerin ekonomik güçleri ile bu silahlara sahip olması arasındaki muhtemel ilişkinin tespit edilmesi dikkat çekicidir. Bu nedenle bu çalışmada, nükleer silahlara sahip ülkelerin tahmini toplam nükleer savaş başlığı sayısı ile ilgili ülkelerin ekonomik büyüme, enerji tüketimi ve nihai kamu tüketim harcamaları arasındaki ilişki 2009-2022 dönemini kapsayan bir veri seti ile incelenmiştir. Çalışmanın amacı toplam tahmini nükleer savaş başlıklarının sayısının seçilen değişkenler çerçevesinde ekonomik performanstan etkilenip etkilenmediğini araştırmaktır. Bu çerçevede yapılan analizlerde; Pedroni eşbütünleşme testi sonuçlarına göre tahmini toplam nükleer savaş başlığı sayısı ile söz konusu ekonomik göstergeler arasında uzun dönemli bir ilişki tespit edilememiştir. Dumitrescu-Hurlin nedensellik testi sonuçlarına göre ise tahmini toplam nükleer savaş başlıklarından nihai kamu tüketim harcamalarına, ekonomik büyümeden ise nükleer başlık sayılarına doğru tek yönlü, enerji tüketimi ile nükleer başlık sayıları arasında çift yönlü nedensellik ilişkisi tespit edilmiştir.
