İyi Yaşam Alanları Oluşturma Amacı Doğrultusunda Sakinkent Modelinde Teori ve Uygulamada Geliştirmeler

Abstract

Sakinkent (Cittaslow) modeli, son çeyrek yüzyılda teorisinin sistemli bir şekilde hayata geçirilebildiği tek sürdürülebilir kent modelidir. Başlangıçta sadece küçük kentler için tasarlanmıştır. Ancak zamanla farklı büyüklükteki kentler ve çevrelerindeki kırsal alanlarındaki yaşamı günümüzün kentleşme ve çevre sorunlarının olumsuzluklarından uzaklaştırmak ve daha kolay ve iyi yaşanan yerlere dönüştürmek doğrultusunda bir vizyon geliştirmiştir. Bu doğrultuda geliştirilen düşüncelerin önemli bir kısmı uygulamaya geçirilmiştir. Modeli geliştirici yeni düşünceler son yıllarda öne çıkmıştır. Bu çalışmada, Sakinkent modelindeki dikkat çekici belli başlı teorik ve uygulamaya dönük geliştirme örnekleri ele alınmaktadır. Konu, bu yeni geliştirici düşüncelerin, modeli daha geniş yaşam alanlarına yayacak ve katkı sağlayıcı yönlerini daha etkin şekilde hayata geçirebilecek olmasından dolayı seçilmiştir. Ele alınacak örnekler; Sakinkent rotaları, ulusal ya da uluslararası nitelikli Sakin (Slow) bölgeler, Orta Ölçekli Kentler İçin Sakinkent Modeli, Metropol Sakinkent Modeli, Gıda Bölgeleri ve Sürdürülebilirlik bazlı sınırötesi işbirliği projeleridir. Bu düşüncelerin hayata geçirilmesi, Cittaslow yaklaşımı aracılığıyla kentleşme ve çevre sorunları alanında yeni çözümler üretebilecektir. Böylelikle geliştirilebilir durumdaki daha çok konuda katkı sağlanmış olacaktır.
