Sınıf Öğretmenlerinin Finansal Okur-Yazarlık Bilgisi Üzerine Bir Araştırma

Abstract

Bireylerin gelirlerini etkin bir şekilde kullanmasını, ülkedeki tasarrufların artırılmasında katkı sunmasını ve farklı finansal ürünlere yatırım yapmasını hedef alan finansal okuryazarlığın önemi her geçen gün artmaktadır. Ulusal ve uluslararası fonlarla finanse edilerek, Finansal okuryazarlık seviyesinin toplumun bütün kesimlerinde artırılması hedeflenmektedir. Sınıf öğretmenleri, bireylerin eğitim hayatlarına başladıklarında, ilk karşılaştıkları kahramanları/rol modelleri olmalarından dolayı geleceğin inşasında önemli bir rol oynarlar. Sınıf öğretmenlerinin finansal okuryazarlık seviyelerinin artırılması hem sınıf öğretmenleri hem de yetiştirdikleri öğrenciler açısından son derece önemlidir. Çalışmamız, Elazığ ilinde devlet okullarında eğitim veren sınıf öğretmenlerinin finansal okur-yazarlık seviyelerini belirlemek amacı ile yapılmıştır. Çalışma kapsamında, Elazığ merkezinde görev yapan 156 sınıf öğretmenine anket uygulanmış ve elde edilen veriler SPSS programı ile analiz edilmiştir. Çalışmanın sonucunda, finansal kavramlarla ilgili sorulan sorulara ortalamanın üzerinde doğru cevaplar verilmesi, temel finansal kavramlara ilişkin bilgilerinin olduğu görülmüştür ayrıca, çalışmaya katılan sınıf öğretmenlerinin, finansal tutuma ilişkin verdikleri cevaplar incelendiğinde, sınıf öğretmenlerinin finansal okuryazarlık açısından yeterli düzeyde oldukları tespit edilmiştir.
