Abstract

The deepening demographic crisis, insufficient working population with key competencies, uneven territorial distribution of people with sought-after professions, high percentage of youth unemployment – these are characteristics of the national and global labor market. The expectations of employers to find the personnel they need outside the national borders are not justified. The views that the automation and robotization of production will reduce the need for specialists are also not justified. Discussion research questions in 2023 are related to the key role of the human factor in Industry 5.0. In this context, we examine the role of voluntary cooperation between education, science and enterprises in Bulgaria. We focus attention on two of the educational degrees – secondary and higher education, forming the necessary human capital for the country. We focus on two main aspects: dual training and an innovative talent selection approach “from Generation Z for Generation Z†. In the article, we share the results of the analysis of practices in Bulgaria in the field of dual education, as well as our experience from the implemented joint initiative “HR: RUSH FOR PRACTICE†at the NBU, where the knowledge is applied in the real challenges of the HR function in terms of selection and assessment through innovative digital pre-selection tool Pleggi.
