L'impact de la politique d'installation et de modernisation agricoles au Portugal

Abstract

The article takes stock of the implementation in Portugal of Ec Regulation n° 797/85 on improving the efficiency of agricultural structures. It aims at assessing the actions designed to favour settling and modernizing in agriculture and consequently a wellbalanced development of the country. It is based on research studies concerning the analysis of the agricultural settling process in Portugal. This process is defined as starting from the date when a new farmer gains control of a farm to the date when he actually manages it.
