Relacao entre Emocao e Alimentacao de Consumidores Idosos

Abstract

Considerando o crescimento no numero de pessoas com 60 anos de idade ou mais, torna-se relevante conhecer o seu perfil e suas preferencias de consumo, uma vez que representam um importante segmento de mercado. Este estudo investigou as emocoes evocadas pelos idosos em resposta ao consumo de dois distintos tipos de alimento - churrasco e salada. Tambem se verificou o impacto das emocoes na avaliacao, recomendacao e intencao de recompra. Foi utilizado o modelo EsSence Profile composto por 39 atributos de emocao classificados em positivos, neutros e negativos. Foram entrevistados 103 idosos. Os resultados revelaram a predominancia de emocoes positivas, especialmente quando comparadas as negativas, nos dois tipos de alimento. Emocoes positivas como satisfeito, feliz, prazeroso e agradavel foram experienciadas com maior frequencia. Os resultados indicaram que as respostas emocionais foram altamente preditivas para a avaliacao, recomendacao e intencao de comer novamente os alimentos pesquisados.
