Abstract

Alors que la théorie de l'offre de travail a été à l'origine de nombreuses études empiriques sur données individuelles, les tests des théories portant sur la "demande de travail" ou, plus généralement, la gestion du personnel des firmes à l'aide de données d'entreprises ont pendant longtemps été peu nombreux. Pourtant, il ne s'agit nullement d'un désintérêt pour le sujet. Au contraire, les théories se sont multipliées: théorie des contrats explicites ou implicites permettant la prise en compte de mécanismes d'incitation, salaires d'efficience, profit-sharing, théories de la négociation collective...
