Abstract

The incidence of fractures is increasing due to the aging population. The death rate within one year due to neck of femur fractures is reported as up to 35% and the average stay in hospital has been documented as up to four weeks or more. The purpose of our study was to identify the challenges and factors which can reduce mortality rate in elderly patients with neck of femur fractures
