Abstract

Egypt is one of the most rich countries world–wide in its archaeological remains as well as the geological heritage that almost has not been discovered till now requiring much investigations through major projects under the umbrella of international institutes. Farafra Oasis and its surroundings in the heart of the western desert of Egypt, has some high geomorphic landforms of chalky limestone constitute an attractive geological heritage. The main aims of the current study are to investigate the weathering processes acting and developing the different landforms at the White Desert, grouping these landforms, and to find out the developing stages of Mushroom as one of the most common landforms at this White Desert.
