Abstract

Matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) play an important role in the pathogenesis of atherosclerosis, the pathology underlying the majority of coronary artery disease (CAD). We planned to investigate the association of enzyme activities of gelatinase B (or matrix metalloproteinase-9) in CAD patients. For this reason,102 patients with CAD and 99 control group recruited in this study.
