Abstract

A Bayesian analysis of sub-samples was performed in order to estimate predictors of survival that were based on exponential and Weibull models. Analysis was done by using data followed up over a five-year period on a random sample of 4001 children under five years of age and their mothers from the Maseru District of Lesotho. In the process of constructing both models, the presence of censored observations and truncation at the age of five years were taken into account.
