Abstract

Sixteen OIV descriptors were used to evaluate the diversity of three wine (Kenyan adapted cultivars) and three tables (Chinese cultivars) grapes randomly grown under greenhouse conditions in Kenya, Juja sub-county. Leaf Morphological data were collected during the vegetative periods between May 2018 - September 2018, and the characteristics were measured and defined according to OIV descriptors. The objectives of this study were to evaluate the diversity between and among the wine and table grapes. Mainly young shoots and mature leaf traits revealed a considerable diversity of morphological descriptors.
