Abstract

This paper analyses the system of trade remedies in Japan particularly focusing on the administration of anti-dumping duties. Authors present the role of these measures in the system of other trade remedies, provide an overview of the legislation related to anti-dumping duties, and underline the specificity of the government regulation. The paper also examines the flow and the mechanisms of investigations on introduction of anti-dumping duties. These trade remedies in Japan are administrated mostly on raw materials and components, applied at the further stages of the production cycle, primarily from developing countries.
