Abstract

This study identifies predictive factors of social media addiction among Mexican university students to inform sustainable digital education strategies. Using a cross sectional design with 705 students logistic regression was applied to variables including age gender and daily usage time. Results show age as a protective factor and male gender as a risk factor while usage time was not significant supporting differentiated prevention strategies aligned with sustainable development goals.
