Abstract

Avascular necrosis of the femoral head is a serious condition that leads to joint dysfunction and pain, with tradi- tional treatment methods proving to be limited in their effectiveness. In recent years, cell therapy has emerged as a promising therapeutic approach, drawing significant attention within the medical community. This review comprehensively examines the current status of cell therapy in the treatment of avascular necrosis, focusing on the therapeutic effects of various cell types, their underlying mechanisms, advancements in clinical research, and future directions in this field.
