Semaglutide Usage as a Weight Loss Management - Literature Review

Abstract

Obesity has become a global public health concern. Categorized by fat accumulation and body mass index (BMI ≥ 30 kg/m2). Weight management is crucial for a healthy lifestyle and for reducing obesity-related complications through several strategies: pharmacotherapy treatments along with lifestyle modifications. This literature review aimed to discuss selected studies and understand the role of semaglutide in weight loss management.
