Placental Expression of ANGPT1, FGF2, PDGFB Genes in Unexplained Recurrent Pregnancy Loss- A Case- Control Study

Abstract

Recurrent pregnancy loss (RPL) is defined as three or more successive pregnancy loss before the completion of 20th week of gestation. The imbalance between pro angiogenic and anti angiogenic factors can lead to impaired placentation, and result in RPL. Angiopoietins 1 (ANGPT1), Fibroblast Growth Factor (FGF2), and Platelet Derived Growth Factor B (PDGFB) are potent angiogenic factors involved in different developmental processes including embryonic development.
