Molecular Modification- A Strategy in Drug Discovery and Drug Design

Abstract

Drug discovery and design is a complex and expensive process. The cost of developing a new drug can reach billions of dollars, and the success rate is very low. One way to improve the efficiency of drug discovery is to use molecular modification. Molecular modification is the process of chemically altering a known drug molecule to improve its physical, chemical, and pharmacological properties.
