Abstract

Liver cirrhosis is associated with higher mortality and morbidity due to the resulting portal hypertension and hepatocellular insufficiency. However, it is also well known that patients with liver cirrhosis are at increased risk for serious infections. Febrile neutropenia is defined as fever in a patient with an absolute neutrophil count
