Abstract

Parasitic diseases are common in the developing countries and of major health problems due to their high prevalence rate and its effect on both nutritional and immune status of the population. This study investigated the prevalence of gastrointestinal parasites (GIPs) among pregnant women attending antenatal clinics in Loko Development Area, Nasarawa Local Government Area (LGA), Nasarawa State, Nigeria between July, and September 2019. Stool samples were collected from two hundred and forty (240) pregnant women from four (4) clinics.
