Variants of Integration in Mixed Methods Research- An Evolutionary Approach

Abstract

For many decades, mixed-method research (MMR) has been a new/emerging focus among researchers of different disciplines. It has been considered a comprehensive approach to investigating complex research questions requiring in-depth inquiry. A more profound understanding of the phenomenon can be best developed when the outcomes of MMR have strong relations with the MM research question. In addition, the research question of MMR provides the foundation for selecting the compatible design, sampling, and data collection techniques for easy Integration of the results. The hallmark of MMR is integrating two different natures of results [1].
