Internationalisierungsgrad von KMU: Ergebnisse einer Unternehmensbefragung

Abstract

Im Zeitraum 2009 bis 2011 waren rd. 1,3 Mio. Unternehmen aus Deutschland, zu 99 % KMU, international aktiv. Damit besaßen rund 37 % aller Unternehmen direkte Auslandskontakte (bei Berücksichtigung indirekter Kontaktformen: 44 %). Am häufigsten unterhielten die Unternehmen Im- und Exportbeziehungen, gefolgt von Serviceleistungen und Kooperationen im Ausland. Seltener waren dagegen andere Formen wie Direktinvestitionen, Beratungsverträge oder Lohnveredlungen zu finden. Gut 16 % aller Unternehmen erwogen eine Ausweitung bereits bestehender Auslandsaktivitäten und gut 20% die erstmalige Aufnahme einer (Export-) Aktivität. Auf dem darauf beruhenden Handlungsbedarf in den Unternehmen kann die Wirtschaftspolitik durch eine Profilierung ihrer Unterstützungsangebote reagieren.
