Preferencias y Valorizacion por Atributos del Servicio de Internet Fijo en el Peru: un primer acercamiento via experimento de eleccion discreta

Abstract

El objetivo del presente documento es analizar las preferencias y valorizacion de los consumidores peruanos por determinados atributos explicitos e implicitos del servicio de Internet fijo. En los atributos explicitos se considero la tarifa mensual del servicio y la velocidad de descarga contratada, mientras que para los atributos que no son valorados de manera explicita en el mercado se estudio aspectos relacionados a la provision de calidad en el servicio: la confiabilidad en la senal del Internet fijo, y la calidad en la asistencia tecnica para la solucion oportuna y eficaz de problemas con el servicio. Usando como modelo econometrico un logit mixto bayesiano, el que se aplica sobre la base de datos de preferencia declarada obtenida en la realizacion de un experimento de eleccion discreta llevado a cabo el 2016, se estimo una funcion de utilidad para los atributos anteriormente citados y se examino la heterogeneidad de las preferencias en funcion a diferentes perfiles de entrevistados. Asimismo, se aproximo la disposicion marginal a pagar por los atributos incluidos en el experimento.
