Abstract

La discrimination à l'égard des femmes constitue un problème auquel les gouvernants sont confrontés dans le processus d'intégration de la femme au développement. Le but de cette étude est de vérifier l'existence de la discrimination sur le marché du travail en milieu urbain congolais et d'évaluer sa contribution au différentiel de salaire selon le sexe. La méthode utilisée est basée sur la décomposition du différentiel de salaire, proposée par Oaxaca (1973). L'application de cette méthode sur les données de l'EESIC-2011, met en exergue l'existence de la discrimination qui contribue à la hauteur de 26,96% au différentiel de salaire. Au regard de ces résultats, les décideurs devraient mettre l'accent sur l'application des textes et porter une attention particulière à la promotion de l'égalité de traitement en matière d'emploi. Aussi, devraient-ils mettre l'accent sur le suivi et le renforcement de la Politique Nationale Genre adoptée en 2008.
