Industrielle Nachfrage nach Dienstleistungen

Abstract

Das verarbeitende Gewerbe ist ein wichtiger Abnehmer von Dienstleistungen und hat damit einen wesentlichen Einfluss auf das Wachstum des Dienstleistungssektors. Umgekehrt sind die Impulse, die von Dienstleistungen auf das verarbeitende Gewerbe ausgehen, geringer. Zahlreiche Studien haben auf dieses Zusammenspiel von Industrie und Dienstleistungen hingewiesen. In der wirtschaftspolitischen Debatte sollten diese Zusammenhänge stärker als bisher beachtet werden. Eine eindimensionale Beurteilung der Triebfedern des wirtschaftlichen Wachstums allein auf der Basis der Wirtschaftsstruktur einer Volkswirtschaft greift zu kurz. Sie unterschätzt die Bedeutung des verarbeitenden Gewerbes und überschätzt diejenige des Dienstleistungssektors.
