Estudio empírico de las contrariedades de los demandantes de formación continua en la Instituciones de Educación Superior españolas

Abstract

El objetivo principal de este estudio fue averiguar los factores que determinan las contrariedades en la demanda de los usuarios de formación continua, en las Instituciones de Educación Superior Españolas. La investigación se enmarca en el paradigma positivista utilizando metodología cualitativa para elaborar el instrumento y cuantitativa para el resto del estudio. Tras una revisión teórica y unas entrevistas en profundidad a expertos en formación continua se diseñó un cuestionario validado mediante un juicio de expertos y una prueba piloto. La muestra obtenida contiene 510 casos cuyo tratamiento inicial fue un análisis factorial exploratorio. Su objetivo era determinar las variables directamente observables recogidas en el cuestionario que contribuyen a medir los factores. Posteriormente utilizando la técnica de las ecuaciones estructurales, se realizó un análisis factorial confirmatorio donde estudiamos el ajuste global del modelo, la unidimensionalidad y fiabilidad de cada factor y la consistencia interna del modelo a través del análisis de la fiabilidad y la validez discriminante. Ulteriormente se introdujo el modelo estructural, a través de una nueva variable latente exógena que aglutina los constructos de primer nivel. Los factores de primer nivel del análisis factorial confirmatorio se convirtieron en variables latentes endógenas y la variable latente exógena en el factor de orden superior. Los resultados permitieron obtener tres factores que dependen linealmente de la dimensión contrariedades de los estudiantes de formación continua. Éstos son: Externos relacionado con las variables observables: Dificultad para desplazarse al lugar en que se realiza la formación, falta de oferta cercana y los costos económicos; personales relacionado con: pocas ganas de volver a estudiar, la edad o la salud, temor a no poder alcanzar los objetivos de la formación y falta de formación inicial; temporales relacionado con: las responsabilidades o la situación familiar, falta de tiempo para estudiar, y el horario de las formaciones.
