Der Wandel der Telekommunikationsindustrie im 21. Jahrhundert: Eine international vergleichende Analyse der Unternehmensstrukturen und -strategien weltweit führender Telekommunikationskonzerne

Abstract

Die Entwicklung der Telekommunikation wird weltweit seit mindestens über dreißig Jahren durch den neoliberal networking drive geprägt. Die unterschiedlichen nationalen und internationalen Entwicklungsverläufe haben bislang zu einem mehr oder weniger konvergenten Prozeßergebnis geführt. In vielen Staaten haben sich private Wettbewerbssysteme herausgebildet, die von staatlicher Seite nicht mehr gesteuert, sondern allenfalls reguliert werden. Aus vielen Staatsmonopolen sind gelistete öffentliche Gesellschaften geworden, die zu Beginn des letzten Jahrzehnts über ziemlich business-orientierte Strukturen und Strategien verfügten. Wie sich unter den neuen globalen Wettbewerbsbedingungen die Telekommunikationsindustrie seitdem verändert hat, ist Gegenstand dieser international vergleichenden Analyse der Unternehmensstrategien und strukturen der Telekommunikationskonzerne American Telegraph & Telefon, América Móvil, China Mobile, Nippon Telegraph and Telephon, Vodafone und Deutsche Telekom. Auf der gewählten Analyseebene der Strategien weisen die hier untersuchten Telekommunikationskonzerne viele Ähnlichkeiten auf, was die These der weiteren Nivellierung durch die Globalisierung stützen würde. Im Unterschied dazu waren die Unternehmensstrukturen durchaus heterogener gestaltet.
