Abstract

Este libro aborda -a partir de estudios de caso- problemáticaspropias de la sostenibilidad de las institucio­nes culturales, para identificaroportunidades de mejora, reconocer que el sector genera bienestar y contribuiren temas cruciales como la innovación, la libertad de expre­sión y lapreservación de la memoria. Con este propósito, todos los capítulos sitúan alas instituciones culturales dentro de un marco especial que reconoce el valorsim­bólico, educativo y retributivo de las propuestas produc­tivas (deservicios) que ellas generan para la sociedad en general. En conjunto, esta publicación presenta avances y resul­tadosde investigación que buscan fortalecer el campo académico y disciplinario de lamuseología en la región e incidir en el ámbito profesional dedicado a lagestión del patrimonio cultural.
