Abstract

On 24 September 2007, the Austrian Institute of Economic Research and Kommunalkredit Austria AG, with the support of the Oesterreichische Nationalbank, organised an international conference on the interrelations between business cycles and growth. The conference was held in honour of Professor Gunther Tichy, a distinguished research fellow of WIFO, and his 40 years of dedicated research into the business cycle theory and policy as well as competition and innovation policy.
