Perception des agriculteurs sur les chocs climatiques et efficience de la production agricole au Burkina Faso

Abstract

Cet article évalue l’impact des chocs climatiques mesurés par les perceptions des agricul-teurs sur l’inefficience des parcelles agricoles au Burkina Faso. Pour ce faire, nous avons appliqué le modèle d’efficience non paramétrique d’ordre « m » à un ensemble de plus de 21000 parcelles agricoles dont plus des deux tiers sont classées comme parcelles biolo-giques et un tiers comme parcelles conventionnelles. Les résultats montrent que les chocs climatiques ont un impact significatif sur l’inefficience des parcelles à l’exception des par-celles de mil. L’effet du choc climatique sur l’inefficience des parcelles varie selon les ré-gions. En particulier, les parcelles situées dans la région de la Boucle du Mouhoun et celle du Sud-Ouest sont les plus affectées par les chocs climatiques. Nous trouvons aussi que l’ensemble des zones agro climatiques, à l’exception de la zone sahélienne, sont affectées quel que soit le type de culture.
