Wczesne umiędzynarodowienie a wyniki ekonomiczne przedsiębiorstwa

Abstract

Celem artykułu jest dokonanie przeglądu literatury, w tym badań empirycznych dotyczących zależności między internacjonalizacją a wynikami przedsiębiorstwa ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem przedsiębiorstw wcześnie umiędzynarodowionych. Zastosowano ujęcie opisowe i porównawcze. Dokonano przeglądu prezentowanych w literaturze przedmiotu argumentów tak za pozytywnym, jak i za negatywnym wpływem umiędzynarodowienia, w tym wczesnej internacjonalizacji, na wyniki przedsiębiorstwa. Przedstawiono koncepcje teoretyczne internacjonalizacji przedsiębiorstwa, które podejmują kwestię kosztów związanych z umiędzynarodowieniem i ich wpływu na wyniki (performance). Zaprezentowano także, stwierdzone na podstawie badań empirycznych, różne zależności między stopniem internacjonalizacji a wynikami przedsiębiorstw, zwracając uwagę na to, że autorzy tych badań stosowali różne mierniki wyników, a także różnorodne wskaźniki stopnia internacjonalizacji przedsiębiorstwa, a badania były realizowane przede wszystkim na grupach dużych i średnich firm. Przedstawiono i porównano wyniki wybranych badań na temat wpływu wczesnego umiędzynarodowienia na wyniki przedsiębiorstwa. Dostępne w literaturze wyniki badań empirycznych zrealizowanych w krajach wysoko rozwiniętych potwierdzają tezę, że wczesne umiędzynarodowienie przedsiębiorstwa może mieć wpływ na jego wyniki. Stwierdzono również lukę badawczą: brakuje badań nad wpływem wczesnej internacjonalizacji na wyniki przedsiębiorstw wywodzących się z Polski i innych krajów, których gospodarki w ciągu ostatnich trzech dekad weszły na drogę transformacji.
