Determinanty produktywności polskich powiatów

Abstract

Teorie nowej geografii ekonomicznej zarówno w wersjach statycznych, jak i dynamicznych przewidują silne zróżnicowanie poziomu produktywności między regionami w zależności od ich lokalizacji. Celem analizy zaprezentowanej w niniejszym artykule było oszacowanie łącznej produktywności czynników produkcji (TFP) w polskich powiatach w latach 2003−2013 oraz empiryczna analiza jej determinant z wykorzystaniem metod ekonometrii przestrzennej. TFP w Polsce przyjmuje najwyższe wartości w ośrodkach metropolitalnych, niejako rozlewając się na ich bezpośrednie otoczenie. Najwyższą wartością TFP charakteryzują się powiaty metropolii warszawskiej. Lokalne wzgórza w rozkładzie TFP występują w miastach na prawach powiatu. Jednocześnie łączna produktywność jest mniejsza w powiatach położonych na wschodzie kraju i najniższe wartości przyjmuje w rejonie południowo-wschodnim. Model empiryczny wykorzystujący najważniejsze założenia teoretyczne oraz dopuszczający interakcje przestrzenne jest w stanie wyjaśnić około 50% obserwowanej w Polsce zmienności TFP.
