Az információs technológiák szétterjedésének következményei a hagyományos szektorokban
[Results of the permeation of information technologies into the traditional sectors]

Abstract

Az új évezred első évében nemcsak az új gazdaság növekedési és profitkilátásai romlottak drámaian, de a jelenség puszta léte is megkérdőjeleződött. A dot.com cégek összeomlása után "buborékgazdaságról" kezdtek beszélni, amely legalább annyira rosszul definiált, mint az új gazdaság, csak éppen pejoratív felhang társul hozzá. A felszín drámai hullámzásai egyszeriben véget vetettek az információs iparokkal kapcsolatos kritikátlan eufóriának, s ezt csak üdvözölni lehet. Sokkal kevésbé helyeselhető azonban az új gazdaság elsietett temetése. Miközben a recesszió a túlértékelt dot.com cégek egy részét végleg kiiktatja, más részüket drasztikusan leértékeli, nagy lendülettel folyik a gazdaság egészének informatizálódása és technológiai megújulása. A "digitalizált gazdaság" ma már nem kapcsolható egy meghatározott szektorhoz vagy iparághoz. Az olajipartól az acélgyártáson keresztül a turizmusig a leghagyományosabb és legrégibb ágazatok körében kezdenek uralkodóvá válni az e-gazdaság játékszabályai. Ezek jelentősen eltérnek a megszokottól, még ha természetesen az itt működő cégek sem tehetik túl magukat a piac legalapvetőbb törvényszerűségein. A szerző célja, hogy reflektorfénybe állítsa a régi gazdaságban teret nyerő új jelenségeket, amelyek nagy kihívást jelentenek az elmélet művelői számára.
