A "nagy ugrás" a felsőoktatásban - Kína a nemzetközi verseny élmezőnyében?
[The big leap" in higher education - Has China moved into the lead?]

Abstract

Kína előretörése erősen megkérdőjelezi a nyugati felsőoktatási intézmények egyeduralmát a globális egyetemi piacon. A legnépszerűbb kínai egyetemek jelentősen javítottak nemzetközi ranglista-pozícióikon. Amikor azonban az egyetemek külföldi hallgatókat és oktatókat vonzó képességéről van szó, a kínai felsőoktatási intézmények teljesítményének megítélése kérdésessé válik. Bár növekvő tendenciát mutatnak ezen egyetemek International Outlook-pontszámai, még mindig jelentős lemaradásban vannak az Egyesült Államok vagy Nyugat-Európa legfontosabb egyetemeihez képest. Kína elsősorban "diákexportőr". Az ázsiai vagy afrikai hallgatók számára ugyanakkor vezető célország lett, de még mindig messze van attól, hogy elérje az Egyesült Államok vagy az Egyesült Királyság egyetemeinek "nemzetközi nyitottsági" szintjét. A legnépszerűbb kínai felsőoktatási intézmények publikációs teljesítménye és publikációs hálózatai is azt mutatják, hogy ezek a felsőoktatási intézmények szívesebben publikálnak más kínai intézményekkel vagy az Egyesült Államok egyetemeivel, mint más országok intézményeivel.
