La gestión del desempeno como herramienta de mejoramiento para el sector hotelero

Abstract

Las organizaciones hoteleras buscan un mejoramiento continuo para la gestión del desempeno de sus colaboradores, en este escrito se brinda un diagnóstico y una descripción de la práctica a la mayoría de los hoteles afiliados a Cotelco en Villavicencio, Colombia. Esto permitió la generación de información necesaria para el aumento del desempeno individual y organizacional, utilizándose una metodología con un enfoque descriptivo, lo que permitió encontrar que en general las etapas del proceso de evaluación de desempeno están en condiciones óptimas para desempenar su función a excepción de la etapa de planeación. Los métodos usados frecuentemente son investigación de campo, 360 grados, el de incidentes críticos, el de autoevaluación, el de frases descriptivas y el de clasificación, y se encontró que los hoteles inciden en casi siempre valorar el ser, saber y el hacer en el momento de evaluar.
