Marktdisziplin in geschlossenen Girosystemen? Eine Analyse für den genossenschaftlichen Bankensektor in Deutschland

Abstract

Infolge der Finanzkrise der Jahre 2007 ff. stellen Forschungsergebnisse immer wieder das Problem des Too Big To Fail heraus. Eine Gruppe vglw. kleiner Banken mit homogenem Geschäftsmodell ist theoretisch jedoch ebenfalls fähig, systemische Risiken freizusetzen. Ein Präventionsmechanismus kann hierbei Marktdisziplinierung sein, der dann irrelevant erscheint, wenn Kreditinstitute nicht auf allgemeinen Interbankenmärkten aktiv sind. Dieses Papier analysiert zunächst konzeptionell, inwiefern die genossenschaftlichen Primärbanken einer Disziplinierung im Rahmen ihres geschlossenen Interbankenmarktes ausgesetzt sind und dessen Effekte auf die Verbundstabilität unter Berücksichtigung der genossenschaftlichen Eigentümerstruktur.
