Abstract

Der folgende Text ist aus der Arbeit im Querprojekt „Öko-Suffizienz und Lebensqualität“ entstanden. In seinen Querprojekten, an denen sich Wissenschaftler und Wissenschaftlerinnen der unterschiedlichen Fachgebiete beteiligen, behandelt das Wuppertal Institut Grundfragen, die über den Bereich der jeweiligen Forschungsgruppen hinausreichen und ihrerseits in viele Fachbezüge hineinwirken. Die ökonomischen und sozialen Auswirkungen einer gewollten und geplanten Reduzierung der Inanspruchnahme von Ressourcen sind eine solche Grundfrage. Sie wird hier in einem ihrer zentralen Aspekte zur Diskussion gestellt
