Abstract

Bei dem vorliegenden Krankenhaus Rating Report 2011 handelt es sich um den siebten. Sein wichtigstes Ziel ist die Verbesserung der Transparenz im deutschen Krankenhausmarkt. Daraus abgeleitet ergibt sich der Anspruch, den Entscheidungsträgern auf den verschiedenen Ebenen (Krankenhäuser und deren Geschäftspartner, Politik, Krankenversicherungen, Banken und Investoren) empirisch abgesicherte Erkenntnisse über diesen Markt an die Hand zu geben. Für die aktuelle Ausgabe wurden 687 Jahresabschlüsse aus dem Jahr 2008 untersucht. Sie umfassen insgesamt 1 035 Krankenhäuser. Außerdem liegen bereits 366 Jahresabschlüsse aus 2009 vor. Über 2010 und 2011 liegen noch keine Zahlen vor. Dies erlaubt detaillierte Analysen, z.B. zur Lage der kleinen Kliniken, der ländlichen Kliniken sowie zu regionalen Unterschieden. Erstmals untersuchen wir auch die Lage der Kliniken in katholischer und evangelischer Trägerschaft sowie im Detail die Grundversorgung in ländlichen Gebieten.
