Die Moralisierung politischer Diskurse ist Gift für die Demokratie

Abstract

Unsere Diskurskultur muss auf Vordermann gebracht werden, wenn Demokratie nicht misslingen soll. Diskursversagen wird ausgelöst, wenn der freie Gedankenaustausch zwischen den politischen Lagern unterbunden wird. Dies ist dort der Fall, wo das jeweilige Gegenüber im Schema von 'gut' und 'böse' als unmoralisch gebrandmarkt und aus dem Diskurs ausgeschlossen wird. Politische Gegner sind nicht auszugrenzen, niederzukämpfen und mundtot zu machen. Vielmehr gilt es, sie konstruktiv wahr- und ernstzunehmen: als demokratische Prozess-Partner im gemeinsamen Ringen um die besten Lösungen für gemeinsame Probleme.
