Abstract

Das letzte Jahrzehnt des 20. Jahrhunderts ist geprägt durch eine als Globalisierung bezeichnete dynamische Vernetzung wichtiger Märkte, die anscheinend nicht mehr aufzuhalten ist. Angetrieben wird die Globalisierung durch die wachsende Dynamik des Handels mit Waren und Dienstleistungen und die gestiegene Mobilität von Kapital und Technologie. Beschleunigt wurde sie durch die Übernahme marktorientierter Wirtschaftssysteme sowohl durch Länder des ehemaligen Ostblocks als auch von Staaten in der Dritten Welt, nicht zuletzt als Folge des Drucks von Strukturanpassungsprogrammen der Weltbank und des IWF.
