Abstract

Das Konzept der Globalsteuerung basiert auf der Vorstellung, dass Arbeitslosig- keit und Inflation durch Geld- und Fiskalpolitik wirksam bekämpft werden können. Der Beitrag behandelt die theoretischen Grundlagen der antizyklischen Stabilisierungspolitik mit besonderem Fokus auf dem Einsatz der Staatsverschuldung in der Rezession und in der aktuellen Corona-Krise. Forderungen nach einer Aufhebung von Schuldengrenzen sind auch angesichts der neuen stabilitätspolitischen Herausforderungen nicht zu rechtfertigen.
