IW Financial Expert Survey: 2. Quartal 2017

Abstract

Das IW Köln hat im 2. Quartal 2017 den Prognosetest des Zentrums für Europäische Wirtschaftsforschung (ZEW) übernommen. Dieses führte seit Anfang 2001 quartalsweise diese Umfrage unter Finanzmarktexperten mit dem Ziel durch, der Öffentlichkeit einen Überblick über die Prognosen der Banken und deren Prognosegüte zu geben. Der Prognosetest heißt nun IW Financial Expert Survey. Um eine Kontinuität der Ergebnisse zu gewährleisten, hat das IW die Methodik des ZEW übernommen. Die zu prognostizierenden Größen sind weiterhin der Kurzfristzins, der Langfristzins, der Dow Jones Stoxx 50 Index, der DAX, der EUR/USD-Wechselkurs (US-Dollar pro 1 Euro) sowie der Ölpreis in US-Dollar. Die Auswertung der Befragungsergebnisse zeigt, dass die befragten Experten bis zum Ende des dritten Quartals 2017 im Durchschnitt einen Anstieg des kurzfristigen Zinses auf -0,29 Prozent und einen Anstieg des langfristigen Zinses auf 0,56 Prozent erwarten. Die Experten erwarten, dass der Zinsanstieg von einer Stagnation der Aktienkurse, einer Abwertung des Euro gemessen in US-Dollar um -2,3 Prozent sowie eines Anstiegs des Ölpreises um 3,1 Prozent begleitet wird. Bei der Auswertung der Prognosegüte aller 3- und 6-Monatsprognosen der befragten Experten für den Zeitraum vom dritten Quartal 2014 bis zum ersten Quartal 2017 erzielten die Prognostiker der Commerzbank mit 62,7 Prozent richtigen Vorhersagen den ersten Platz, gefolgt von den Experten der Hamburger Sparkasse (61,1 Prozent) und der UniCredit (58,7 Prozent). Bester Punktprognostiker ist die National-Bank, gefolgt von der Commerzbank und der Nord/LB.
